We would like to make all of our customers aware of the very strict claims
procedure that TNT enforce on their international and UK service.
1. All goods delivered by TNT MUST be checked upon
delivery for any damage, inside of the box and outside of the box.
If the goods are in good condition, then the goods can be signed
for. If the goods are found to be damaged, your customer MUST refuse
to take delivery of the goods. TNT will not allow any parcels to be
signed for damaged as far as we are aware.
2. We must report any damaged goods to TNT within 24 hours
of the delivery time, weather the goods have been refused or not. If
it is outside this time frame, then no claim is applicable in the eyes of
TNT.
I am aware that this will cause a few logistical problems, however we
need to stick to these rules just in case a claim is needed.
If a TNT driver is not willing to wait while the goods are checked,
then please refuse to accept the goods and contact me with all the
information.
Thank you for taking the time to read this important information.
Many thanks
Greg
